IRSE License in India

RailTel has a strategic relationship with the Indian Railways and it undertakes short-haul connectivity between stations and long-haul connectivity to support various train control and command systems on the Indian Railways.

Rail Edutech Private Limited

Rail Edutech Private Limited is the industry partner for the preparation, assessment, and processing of IRSE licenses. They collaborate with RailTel to ensure the competence of individuals carrying out technical safety-critical or safety-related work on signaling and telecommunications equipment and systems.

Rail Edutech provides training and assessment services that meet international standards, ensuring that licensed professionals maintain the highest levels of expertise in railway signalling and telecommunications.

Scope of the Assessing Organization

Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (Indian Section) shall be operating the Licensing Scheme for Competence Management in the Railway S&T field in Indian Subcontinent. It shall apply to all persons engaged in the Specification, Design, Installation, Testing, Maintenance, commissioning or Management of signaling, telecommunications, and their subsystems, which could affect railway safety; and to persons involved with the training, supervision and management of those people.

Candidates desirous of an IRSE License may apply to IRSE (UK), which shall authorize the RailTel - Rail Edutech Assessment Organization to assess the person who can satisfy the performance criteria and knowledge requirements laid down in the IRSE Licensing Scheme Competence Standards.

IRSE Licensing Process

Steps to obtain your IRSE license in India

Submit the completed application form along with required documents and evidence of your qualifications and experience in railway signalling or telecommunications.

Participate in a professional interview with our licensing panel to discuss your experience and approach to safety-critical work.

5 License Issuance

Upon successful completion of all stages, your IRSE license will be issued, valid for a period of 5 years.
